Welcome to Seattle's Premier Dance Club!Put on your dancin' shoes! For an elegant evening or a casual night on the town, a chance to meet people or dance with your sweetheart, the Washington Dance Club is for you. Founded in 1987, the Washington Dance Club has been bringing the fun, romance and passion of Ballroom, Latin and Swing dancing to Northwest dancers for over 25 years. The art deco building where the Washington Dance Club has made its home for 25 years has been purchased by a development company, and will be torn down and redeveloped. History was made in the Avalon Ballroom. People flocked to the Avalon to dance to some of the finest bands of the day in the 30’s and 40’s. In more recent years, some of the best competitive dancers in the world have graced our ballroom and social dancers from the ballroom, tango, lindy hop and west coast swing communities have packed the dance floor. Thank you to all who turned out on March 23rd for The Wrecking Ball: A Farewell Tribute to the Avalon Ballroom to celebrate the life of our beloved dance hall. And thank you to all our friends and customers who have made the Washington Dance Club what it is! Our New Home!The Verve Ballroom in Lynnwood, 19820 40th Ave West, Suite 102, Lynnwood WA 98036. We are excited to announce we have joined forces with the Verve Ballroom. The Verve is a beautiful new ballroom dance studio with two wonderful dance floors and ample free parking just a few blocks from I-5. Owners Alexandria Hawkins and Barney Chiu have created a beautiful space for dancers to enjoy. We are very excited to join the excellent independent instructors at the Verve Ballroom. Friday and Sunday Social Dances at the Verve!DJ Terry West every Friday. Group class 8pm, Social Dance 9pm, $12 Private instruction is available in Lynnwood and Seattle. The Washington Dance Club offers a wide range of activities for ballroom dancers, including private lessons, group classes, workshops, dance parties, and special events. Training is available for beginners to professionals in social and competitive dancing and there are no contracts to sign.
