WHERE TO BEGIN
Students can customize their experience by choosing the classes and activities
they want. If you do not have previous training in ballroom dancing we
recommend you start with one of the following:
Introductory Special $45
- Two half-hour private lessons
- One group class (Friday Workshop)
- Admission to one Dance Party (choice of Friday or Sunday)
Friday Workshops
8:00 - 9:00 p.m. $10 per person for each session.
Friday Dance is FREE for workshop participants.
Half price for kids under 18 and students with current ID.
These drop-in classes are a fun and easy introduction to popular social
dances. Learn basic techniques for leading/following, timing and styling
while you pick up new patterns. Then put it all together on the dance
floor. The dance party is included. See calendar
for schedule of dances taught.
Introduction to Social Dancing
Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Learn the secrets of partner dancing in this introduction to popular social
dances including Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Swing. Basic patterns,
timing and styling in each dance are presented with leading/following
techniques for confidence and style on the dance floor.
$30 for a three week series; $40 for a four week series; $50 for a five week series. Advanced registration is required. Register online or by

General Dancing
For dancers of all levels featuring Ballroom, Latin and Swing music on
Fridays, 9:00 - 11:30 p.m. $10 per person (or free if you attend the Friday Workshop
at 8:00 p.m.) or Sunday, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. $10 per person (or free if you attend the Sunday Workshop at 6:00 p.m.)
Private Lessons
Two For One Special (limited time offer)
Take one private lesson from any of our participating instructors, get a second lesson for free. Offer available only to students who have not taken private lessons at the Washington Dance Club before.
